Nissan sets a shitty MSRP. And the Nismo is expensive and overpriced for what it is... But people can't expect $35,000 for a Nismo either...
People don't take into account the body bracing in the Nismo that costs at least $3,500 on its own.
The Nismo exhaust which adds at least $800 to the cost.
The Nismo tuned suspension that probably adds an extra $800 as well
The RECARO seats which adds at least $2,000 to the cost.
Though Nissan an drive down the price on the outdated units value. Well say it adds an extra $500... So there's about $7,100 in extras in the nismo.
So we'lol say $34,000 + 7,000 = $41,000
Add the automatic and you get $42,200
Then add the body kit updating. $2,000
$44,000
I'm sure you can shop dealership and make $42,000 the beginning price point and try to keep it under the $44,000
price point. Nissan could've retextured some plastics in the car though. To me, that's where they went the most wrong over time aside from the atrocious base radio...
But I think some people just expect the Z to be FR-S prices... Fvck nooo!
And yeah... I'd buy a $60,000 Z at 450HP, $3,000/3,100lbs & DCT or even a super-tuned 7AT rated 200HP over it's output.
That's close to the beastly numbers off the 2008 GT-R with 700.800lbs less weight and RWD!!!!*
WHHHHHHUUUUUUT!!!!!!????????????
IM IN THERE!!!
No other company would have a sports car like that for the money. And Nissan is awesome for being Niche in that way...
Definitely would be a great corvette alternative.
