Good points ... especially pedal pressure. If you think the brakes are hot and don't feel comfortable putting an AT car in N with the e-brake on while stopped at a light, at least try to minimize the brake pressure you apply - only use enough to keep the car from inching forward. If you give yourself some room in front of you when you know the brakes are hot, you can use a light touch on the brake pedal and occasionally creep forward to minimize the localization of the pad deposits while the rotors have a chance to cool.
