Default Nav build

Just thought i'd share my nav project, if you want to see more, check out my album, its almost done, it looks rough because I took leather off because i'll get the whole thing reupholstered for a seamless look.

Result at this point is wrapped in copper carbon fiber:
I added a notch on the right to expose light sensor
Deleted 2 buttons above shifter which will be relocated to the console

This is what orange leather which i decided against:

I started with base 370z dash trim with cubby and a double din adapter
Removed all leather stuff
Cutoff top of double din
Cutoff cubby to the same thickness as the double din walls, glued everying with some J-b kwick

Manufactured cradle with some 12x12 sheets of plastic so that i can mount the tablet flush.

Placed cradle inside and sanded down everything

Applied 3 layers of bondo and sanding between applications and its ready for uphostery

So i dont like the step lip look, so i glued in some dense foam board trimmed excess

And a layer of bondo

Also decided to do that shifter bezel since i dont like the OEM look

Test fitting:
