He was some European guy, big mystery at the time.

End result... He was Buying Cars in Europe, financing them and putting them in containers bringing them to the States but reporting them stolen back home or simply not making payments.

Not to sound like a Paranoid freak but personally the whole ordeal seemed like BS. That guy was doing something a little more in depth then smuggling in stolen cars. Sounds like a plot like that movie SWORDFISH, whole thing was really weird but who knows...

I was victim to something like this back in 2000. Bought my first MV Agusta back before people knew what they were. Turned out the bike was brought in Grey Market, couldnt register it and had numerous letters telling me it that I needed to turn it in. Screw that! Ended up selling it to a Collector in AZ.

At least this thread is a little interesting now
bad for you. well the way I do it is . I buy the cars from overseas pay them with cash bank transfered. ship the car to the shipping lines ask them (the dealership) to clear some export papers then ask the shipping lines to deliver the car here at my country via container boats. I don't wanna get on trouble on some oversea country it creeps me.

btw here nissan dealers don't sell gtrs or 370z so the only way to get it is import my own.
