I plan on 700. If we ever get e85 more readily available where I am, ill shoot for 800 or what ever ill make out at. Whichever comes first.

After doing a lot of poking around on the Google, it seems that Eagle once got a bad batch of ARP 2000 rod bolts, which is supposedly where all of this doubt is coming from. It also appears that ARP doesn't make L19 or stronger bolts in the bolt pattern that some of our aftermarket rods use (3/8 head, 5/16 thread pattern), which is odd to me. I called Eagle this morning since they are local, and picked their brain. I asked what their rods were rated for yada yada yada, and after some conversation the sales rep said something about an upgrade that would support more power than the rods with the ARP 2000's. However this is the same exact rod, with different bolts, yet costs a good bit more at $1194 MSRP. That leads me to believe that the bolts are in fact the weak points in the rods. This is all speculation as I'm no engineer lol.

Anyway, I kind of got off topic. Im probably going to go ahead and get Carillo Super A Beams. I have a guy that is getting me a killer deal on those and Wiseco pistons, and Id rather have the peace of mind without worrying with whether or not the corner I cut is going to come back and kick me in the @$$ lol. As far as builder, I have a local machine shop that will be doing the work. The machinist there does some machining for some Porsche race cars and championship Miatas. I havent decided if I want to let them assemble it, or do it myself. Im a big proponent of DIY that way if something messes up, Im the only one to blame. Not necessarily for money reasons, especially since ill be buying some special tools to make sure its all done properly.

However, after all of that said, I'm not closed minded enough not to entertain your offer. Ill shoot you a PM.
