Final Part 4 So now I'm home. I get to enjoy the car at my pace and on my own. I'm launching, trying out the neat Ecutek features like Launch Control, No lift shift (oh my god my favorite) and just having a blast with the car. She's running exactly as she should. Then my check engine light comes on. Missfire. Dammnit. Clear it as she's running fine. Another 75 miles, CEL. F$cker. I hate you, it's like a middle finger staring back at you. The car is running great, but the engine keeps picking this damn thing up. Tony and I spend quite some time on the phone with myself and with Ecutek trying to figure this out. Unfortunately Nissan has made some changes this model year and some troubleshooting is now at hand with ecutek. Being one of the first on the tune and the newest model, this is a bit expected. Then next thing I know while boosting, I'm starting to run lean. By now I'm down in the dumps. I've been babying the hell out of this thing and now here I am with a "FU light" and a lean issue. So I start doing some data logging, sending it to Tony. He's talking with his Tuner (specialty Z) and Ecutek. I'm super busy with work at the time that we decide it's time to go on a road trip to Cali so he can have the car for a few days and I fly back. Tony steps up and decides he's paying for my full flight back, to and from. Awesome! And again, this is quite expected sometimes when you are the "first" of really anything. I drop off the car, after a 6 hour trip and no joke, I pull into the parking lot and my car shuts off and won't start. The Fuel pump just went out. Unreal. Holy freaking Crap. Aeromotive is an incredible company too. Just a fluke crazy situation and we really don't know why it was causing any issues. We replace the fuel pump and Tony gets to work. I fly home, 2 total weeks later and many many hours with Ecutek they figure out the misfire and she's back to being the monster I wanted her to be. I fly back, get my keys and drive her home. Absolutely no charge for all the extra work that had nothing to do with Tony, completely out of his control and for one, the radiator (which I was reimbursed in full for) that I specifically selected, no charge for, the guy wanted me to have the car of my dreams and was not going to let anything get in the way of that.
I strongly believe every car that you go to literally DOUBLE the power to is going to have it's bumps. If you want something that's going to never have any obstacles, especially in the beginning, then don't go boosted. Put on your intake and continue to get beat
Seriously though I must say this is MILES ahead of the experience than my 3 other boosted cars. Not only in the performance aspect but the customer service. Fast Intentions literally treated it as if it was their own car and stopped at nothing to take care of me and my baby. The day after I got home I took her to the track (track day bro!), 20 min circuit course sessions that were just an absolute blast. The car performed flawlessly. My first car meet, then a 1/2 mile track, I'm shocking people, pulling on Zr1s, being interviewed by Super Street themselves, this is a freaking absolute dream, only this time I wasn't waking up. My damn cheeks hurt from smiling too damn much and that's how I know it's reality. After this experience, I will say there is NO other option. Fast Intentions is the ONLY way to go. Their products are holding up better than some of the most prestigious companies in the world, it's everything you need to create a beast, and best of all, their customer service is second to none. If you want more proof, go check out my videos on this forum. Many more to come bc I can't get enough of this incredible machine. Join the Brotherhood, and I can't wait to take the trip to meet you there when you get your keys for the first time.
