I thought the fans were controlled just by the table in the ecu that basically increases duty cycle as temp rises. It has a set turn on temp. The table would have to be edited for a new lower turn on point for it to come on sooner, right? The additional coolant flow only occurs for the 20 degrees before the oem thermostat would open. Once open, flow should be the same, right?
