Whatever the dealer showed you is the stock original thickness and not minimums.
Once worn below minimums, with repeated heat cycles, the risk of cracks from inner to outer edge followed by catastrophic rotor failure rises significantly.
That is not to say you will see rotor failure, just that the risk of that event rises substantially.
For the record, I checked on the DBA website, but the data is also in the Z34 FSM which you can see online.

I checked the data online on the Z34 FSM and found the rotor specs. I see the page the dealer showed me but come to find out there was a second page. Maybe you can help clarify these 4 lines I see. Page BR-64 and BR-65 btw. No questions on rotor diameter as that is obvious.
FRONT 4 PISTON, REAR 2 PISTON TYPE
- Front brake (Rotor outer diameter x thickness) 355mm x 32mm
- Read brake (Rotor outer diameter x thickness) 350mm x 20mm
- WEAR THICKNESS FRONT ROTOR = 30mm
- WEAR THICKNESS REAR ROTOR = 26mm <---problem causing confusion
My rotor measurements:
FR: 32.2mm
FL: 31.9mm
RL: 20.2mm
RR: 20.4mm
Also, if the measurements above are "new" how are my used rotors bigger? I assume maybe because a micrometer could be slightly calibrated wrong.
Unless I am understanding this wrong how is the "wear thickness" larger than the supposedly new thickness above. Since the front rotor wear thickness is 2mm less than the new, i would assume the wear thickness from the rear would be about 1-2 yielding 18-19mm but instead these specs are showing the rear wear thickness LARGER than the new thickness
Any thoughts?
