The Highlander was my second choice. A nice car, but the trim options jack up the price pretty quickly. It looks nice, but kind of boring too if that makes any sense.

The Santa Fe was also nice, but some of the materials felt cheap. Seems like they're everywhere. The engine had some pep, but felt sluggish.

The Grand Cherokee just didn't do it it for me. Also a nice car, but the price gets pretty expensive for the trim options you really want. If you need the off-road capability and towing capacity, that would be my pick...but for everything else....well, it didn't really make sense for us. There's also my past experiences with Jeep. My first car was an '89 Cherokee. It was fun until it burned to the ground on the side of I-90, lol.

I like the new Lexus RX too, but it's out of my budget. It basically came down to the Murano and the Highlander.
