Default Attention! Attention! Read All About It! 380hp

Okay, so this isn't confirmed but it triggered one of my google alerts so it must be legit...

2017 Nissan Z: Go Small Or Go Home!

Earlier this year, Nissan teased that they are developing a successor to both the 350Z and the 370Z. The details on the vehicle are scarce at the moment but many are pinpointing the car to get unveiled early next year.

An insider from Nissan shared recently that the 370Z is great but it does not do a good job as a daily driver. This is something Nissan wish to rectify with the next Z-car and they hope to accomplish it by introducing a new, smaller capacity engine without jeopardizing power and performance.

If the rumours are to be referred to, Nissan is going to equip the next Z with a 2.7L V6 turbocharged engine that will have about 380hp to offer. The turbocharged motor will also aid in returning about 22mpg city and 34mpg highway of fuel economy.

If the rumours are right, then the next Z will obviously be known as the 270Z. The vehicle will definitely be practical for daily use due to the much better fuel economy. We can expect to hear more official details about the car in the coming months.
