This covers the "blind spot" with all three mirrors covering different areas. As an overtaking car moves out of the rear view mirror, it moves into the side mirror. This has worked really well for me over the years in my Suburbans, and have been able to make some snap decisions/moves,..but for the Z it ain't perfect. I still have to be extra careful.
