Default Newly Installed GTHaus Meisterschaft FCBE

I recently received (after a excruciating 7 month wait from the time I placed the order) and installed a full GTHaus Meisterschaft Full Cat Back Exhaust.

I just thought I'd record a few thoughts -

1) the fit and finish are of the highest quality; I say this with a level of authority because I'm a working professional metallurgical engineer. Welding and fabrication are very high end.

2) It took an experience muffler shop about 45 minutes to install it with no fitment issues.

3) Once installed - it truly is car jewelry - while you have to awkwardly put your head on the driveway to see it - its worth the strain.

4) Sound - this is the best and or worst part. I'll say that it definitely leaves an impression. I think I like it but I'm not sure about its intensity. Keep in mind I'm not shy about exhaust noise - I turbocharged a Miata with open pipes and had a supercharged Corvette Z06 - which my wife claims should could hear when I was three blocks away. So from that perspective - this exhaust may be too loud (did not ever think I'd say that). I only have about 20 mins with it so far so I'm sure I will get used to a lot of it. People have said that at less than 3-4K RPM its not too loud - I'd add that's true but it depends on the throttle position too - WOT at 3-4K is extremely loud - 3-4K while your in a higher gear and not really pulling is fine. Again I like it but it is very extreme; not for the light hearted. By the way - my car is a 2013 Touring - completely stock - so no test pipes, standard factory cats.

5) Overall I think I'll keep it and I do feel that its worth the money (not so much the wait - I wont get into why it took so long). It is so extreme that it does change the driving experience of the car - changes it from a cruiser to a snarling race car. A lot of you might say great - that what's you want. But on the other hand - there are a lot of reasons why most do not like to drive race cars on the street besides the legal issues (sound being one of them).

6) I don't want to discourage anyone - I'm happy with what I got - just a caution that you should be aware before you buy. Do not take the "its too loud" comments that are through out this forum lightly.
