even through the excitement, i think one needs to play it cool on the 370Z and go gentle during clutch-in even if one dumps it into the next gear going WOT.

This is because you have 2 totally different clutch designs between the 2 cars, The 370Z/G37 clutch is what causes these issues at high RPM, What you are feeling is the pressure plate "reversing" from centrifugal force. Just a bad design. This can be corrected to a point with proper clutch adjustment. If you are pushing the clutch slave too far because the adjustment is too far out it will make it worse.
The earlier 350Z/G35 clutch or a quality aftermarket doesn't have this issue.
Is has 0 to due with the slave design.
Jamming the pedal should not effect the slave either (unless it's a stock OEM unit that is getting ready to let go)
