And as for the Z showing in age, it is, but you also have to remember the new models coming out in 2017 and since the new models of 2009 you have to admit from 2009-2015 the Z had an amazing run.
If they go with the 3.0L TT it will be even more of a force to be reckon with on the track just because it will a lot easier to mod.
From what I understand the Camaro SS comes in a V8 only? although if it comes in a V6 it is understandable of the difference in exhaust tone I hear sometimes and also why I was able to beat some here and there.

I dunno man, I found the 5.0 to be a lot more DD friendly than the Z to be honest. It's roomier, more comfortable, has a better interior, can fit 2x as many people, and is WAY faster in a straight line. Mustangs win in aftermarket mods, too... by a lot. The only reason I ended up with a Z was because of how sexy it is and the fact that I don't have kids. It's also nice to not see 20 others on my way to work. I have no regrets choosing a Z.
The Camaro SS I drove was a turd, however. It had the cornering capacity of a brick and the weight to match. They're also extremely ugly (IMO) and come with a standard crap GM interior. No thanks.
