And as for the Z showing in age, it is, but you also have to remember the new models coming out in 2017 and since the new models of 2009 you have to admit from 2009-2015 the Z had an amazing run.
If they go with the 3.0L TT it will be even more of a force to be reckon with on the track just because it will a lot easier to mod.
From what I understand the Camaro SS comes in a V8 only? although if it comes in a V6 it is understandable of the difference in exhaust tone I hear sometimes and also why I was able to beat some here and there.

I agree that it's had a great run. For the money it's still a fantastic car. I'm not holding my breath, but I'm excited to see what the future holds. And ya, the SS is the V8 version of the Camaro. Magazines are pulling 3.9 second 0-60 times and low 12 second 1/4 mile times with great lateral G numbers. I can only hope the next Z offers something near that.
