I have been unable to find a clear answer online - can a 370Z purchased from out of state be registered in CA?

I know that some companies put unique equipment on their cars that go to the California market just to deal with that requirement. Does any know if Nissan did that on the 370Z?

Bought my z in nevada and had no issues transferring the title and registration to california
