The Good: They are moving along briskly to the "Alexandria Safe Zone is Home" plot point.

The Bad: How they chose to tell it. Managing the herd was, at best, foreshadowing; at worst a red herring. All the action happens at the home base. And where did they find helium? Is it lights (e.g., flares) or sounds (e.g., gun shots, growling zombies) or both that draw the zombies? They couldn't even get their story straight. Terrible.

The Optimistic: They will almost certainly introduce The Saviors and Negan by the season closer if not sooner. Sooner would be better since they already dealt with the minor revolt problem -- in flashback, no less.

The Pessimistic: Their absurd way of drawing the story out in the opener, and telling it in a haphazard, overly stylized manner, does not bode well for the rest of the season.

The Random: New season of Z Nation has been fantastic. Get your real zombie fan/horror punk/splatter punk fix there...
