You are correct on all accounts...The hood is carbon fiber and vented, it is made by Fugimura!!! I bought this hood strictly on impulse as it look so damn sexy I had to have it and it was one of my best purchases so far. The vents are functional and expel heat from the engine bay, how much I'm not sure be any heat removed is a good thing. The underside of the hood has gutters to move water coming into the vents to the front of the hood and out. I it works really well and I have not had any issues with water getting into my engine bay during washing or in a rain storms. The hood is pricey but the fit, finish and functionality is outstanding...Fugimura makes quality products!!!
