Self Install
I am not a an automotive mechanic but I do have an innate ability to fix most anything. I have turned wrenches since I was 16 and rebuilt the engine and transmission in my GT mustang at the age of 17 plus helped a friend do an engine swap and rebuild. I have pretty much always done my own automotive work and i feel I am pretty competent in what I am doing as long as I have the tools for the job.
If a person has a garage and is equipped with a good set of tools and has a background such as stated above have much difficulty installing a supercharger themselves?
I see a real benifit to installing it yourself so you understand exactly how it works and where everthing is for troubleshooting issues that may arise down the road rather than being dependant on the shop that installed it. I am a senior systems engineer by trade so troubleshooting issues no matter what it is, is second nature to me.
