According to cars.com, "If your windshield or another window on your car has suffered some sort of stress that has led to a crack, hole or other damage, consider purchasing one of several leading auto glass repair kits." (my emphasis). But I can't vouch for that, so YMMV.

Edit: Oops! Looks that only applies to the Equalizer Auto Glass Repair Kit.
