It's not about math. Most people don't want to take over someone else's project car. Especially when that project car is a turboed factory NA car. The reasons are many. They want to have the experience of doing it themselves. They want it modded 'their' way. Or regardless of who the seller is and how honest you might be its always going to be in the back of people's minds why you are selling. Is there a problem the buyer doesn't know about. Then there's people like me that wouldn't own a FI car that was installed by anyone else. I know there are a lot of good tuners/shops out there but there are very few people willing to be as anal with my build as I am.
Wish you luck on your sale but selling a completed FI build is always going to be difficult if you expect to get above the blue book value of the car. Remember car modding is like owning a boat. You are just pouring money down the hole.
