A tuner can customize data tables within the ECU to adjust the throttle response, allowing for virtually unlimited adjustments (within a certain range of performance, of course).

The Sprintbooster simply increases the voltage of the pedal position, simulating you pushing the pedal down further than you actually are. Once you push down to a certain point (for illustrative purposes, let's say 80% of the pedal throw), the car will be WOT. The rest of the pedal throw becomes useless.

I got my Ecutek tune over two years ago when I was fully stock except for R2C intakes. I was extremely pleased with the throttle response improvement. I have the opportunity to occasionally drive other 370Z, and I can say the bog in the throttle is terrible every time I drive one. However, I have no experience with SB, so I cannot speak directly to the resulting throttle response improvements in comparison.

For $200, SB might be just the ticket for some. A tune offers more versatility down the road if you plan on doing more bolt-ons
