I finally installed an oil cooler! I had seen some high temps in the summer and knew I needed to get one at some point but put it off all these years! Since I needed to take the front bumper off, I decided no time was better than now. I should of done this years ago! I decided to go the DIY route and went with the Modshack DIY:

DIY: Oil Cooler (scratch built install, lottsa pics).....>.

At $294 shipped, that seemed really reasonable and easy enough of an install. I bought a 11" x 4" 1/8th aluminum bracket and lined it up, measured and drilled holes.

Routed the oil lines on the right side and it seems to be much better. The lengths I went with for the stainless steel lines are 49" and 55". Used the KoolTools an 10 tool to install the lines and it was pretty easy.

This seems to reduce the oil temps by 20 degrees. Now that the temps are getting cooler I am hitting about 180 on hard driving, and it hasn't gone higher. (65-75 degrees)
