It's easy if you don't care to destroy the shift knob. It's very hard if you want to keep the original shift knob in one piece. I've done 3 of them. 2 destroyed and 1 saved.

Do it in a warm day so the lock tide is not as hard. Strap wrench might slip. I used pipe wrench. A vice grip is a must to secure the shifter.
