My last Sony had dead pixels within 3years. My 6year old 720p Samsung LCD is still going strong
Samsung has 2 and Vizio has 2 that I am looking at. may take a ride out to best buy and wally world tonight to stare/compare random models.

We run a few hundred LG tvs 24/7 at work and surprisingly the failure rate is not too bad.
I'd go with sharp, but everything is pricey for my needs compared to other models. And I will NEVER buy ANYTHING LG related EVER again. My first HDTV was a LG which died in under a year. how? The stupid freaking IR receiver within the tv literally exploded. TV worked, but you had to manually get up and change channels. SCREW THAT!
