Everybody disses Hyundai Kia... But they have
Real shifting AT's in their vehicles, not CVT's
They get real LSD's for track duty
They been having a strong line of turbo engines since 2012.

Hyundai is NOT FAR BEHIND from Nissan. And there advantage potential in the near future is higher than ours. While currently behind in chassis rigidity they are about to change generations. Then what?

Once they go all aluminum forged suspension, get ecu programming right and get Downshift Rev-Matching. They will become REAL COMPETITION. What if they get a Rays contract too or a formidable wheel company next gen? The 2.0 is coming back next gen with over 300hp and Kia will have a comparable coupe. Hyundai is making strides while we're falling into generics. I'd rock the optima before my altima if I was buying today?

Hyundai's new slogan should be...

Hyundai...
"Laugh at us now, cry later."

Nissan's slogan will be...
Nissan...
"Turning track legends into cute ute's"

My point to this thread was if Nissan would update our cars properly, this comparo wouldn't even exist. But Nissan doesnt. So here it is. The stark reality that Nissan is slippin'. I'm a Chevy/Nissan guy as well when talking sub-premium. But I accept reality that my car company doesn't have it together except for the GT-R. And even that one is kinda long in the tooth.
The pedigree and progression of the Z speaks volumes. I hear what you're saying but hyundai has a very limited history. Give it time and yes I believe they can be a formidable brand. Hey quick question, how is there motorsports division doing?
