The drug dealer/drug user scenario was great way to introduce the family to the zombie epidemic in a small way before things get crazy.

My first thoughts on the drug thing was how everyone speculated on the original walking dead that it had something to do with breaking bad, since they had blue drugs and a similar car. This one lends to that theory
