Yes, if you remove the stock cats and just put test pipes on the car may throw codes due to the o2 sensors there.

The normal solution is to have the car tuned iva Uprev or Ecutek to remove the codes. This would allow you to get the most out of your mods, also. If you are going to do a tune, I would suggest just doing everything you want intake/exhaust wise first, rather than having to possibly re-tune later.
