It's pulled toward the crank pulley, which loosens and misaligns the serpentine belt. The resistance to spin the blower gets greater the more cfm/psi you produce. So the belt has to pull harder as rpms and load increase. This is my understanding of it all. Someone should mount a GoPro on the car during a dyno run.
