I don't think 255s will stretch too noticeably if 265s work perfect. I think the Michelins run a bit wide if anything - at least I know the PSS run wide. I believe 255 is the stock tire size for front Nismo wheels, which are 9.5" wide.

FWIW, lots of people, including myself run 265s on the front sport rims which are only 9" wide. But stock is 245 for those wheels. I like wider tires because they can help protect my rims to small degree.
