Description
Upper intake manifold from my 2009 Twin Turbo 370Z. There are barbed fittings to run wastegate and boost sensor vacuum lines (use hose with 6mm internal diameter). I've since reinforced it with epoxy inside and out.
Reason
I thought it was warped (cause of vacuum leak) and ordered a brand new part, which exhibits similar "warp." It turns out Nissan revised the installation method for the new part by using shorter bolts because the longer bolts would stretch over time. I confirmed the old bolts were stretched at least 3mm, which made it difficult to properly tighten it down to form a good seal. Since I'm sticking with the new part and bolts, I don't have a need for the old one. Therefore, this intake manifold is still in great condition with no cracks.
I highly recommend getting brand new bolts, which is relatively cheap (about $1 each).
