Sorry to hear about the car accident and I'm glad that everyone walked away okay. Sad to say with pain from a car accident, very little of it starts on the first day unless you are really injured. At that point you go to the ER. My dad is a Chiropractor and one of the things he does do as extra work is Personal Injury Cases for attorney's he networks with etc. (mainly car accidents). 9 times out of 10 you feel some pain/soreness the first day due to adrenaline and shock. Once you sleep off the adrenaline and shock you feel every bit of it. Just make sure to not get discouraged if the pain gets worse before it gets better. Most of the time that is how the treatment process goes.
As for doing things at home to help the soreness, some light stretching of the inflamed area probably would be beneficial. Make sure to not stretch on cold muscles, never works well. I would suggest using a heating pack/pad for about 15 minutes before stretching
As for the car, well hope that everything works out well and it either gets repaired or written off as a totaled car. Atleast your lip and B pillars were untouched
My $.02 is that if the car is totaled take what you got off the car and put it on a new one haha (hopefully you have some sort of GAP insurance, chances are the Actual Cash Value of the car will not be the entire loan amount left, just depends on how much you have left to pay off)
