Yup, built mine some time in 2011 using a Sandybridge Core i7. Win 7 and stable all this time. I have not gone to SSD although I keep thinking about it. My son has it on his and it rocks. I have not seen an upside to going to Win 8 or 10. Mine functions fine where it is.
