I boiled my surgical scissors in water, air dried, dipped in 70% rubbing alcohol, cut stitches, rubbed cut with more alcohol, peroxicide, and rebandaged with neosporin. The cut is still semi open, but only in the deep part. The outer skin is starting to heal over it. I'm sorta proud of myself. Def a dumb idea, but saves me a $40 copay, 3 hrs sitting in a waiting room, and a 5 minute proceed watching some old guy tackle my thumb.
