LOL nope.
Her car floated partway, water up to the headlights, etc. due to our street flooding during a really terrible storm.
Everything in the trunk was wet (with mix of sewer/rain water), the seats were wet, there was a high water mark almost to the top of the door speaker on the passenger side, the remote unlock was not working at the time etc.
Apparently they were able to get the car started though, and they told my wife that was "a good sign."
When I called them back and explained that it was insured and we weren't looking to patch it up and drive it for a couple more years the guy caught on. I guess he wasn't expecting full coverage on a 10-year-old car but I'm glad we had it.
My DD was also in it, though not quite as bad. I have a feeling my car will not be totaled, but who knows, the PCM/control module must have gotten wet because the alarm started going crazy (with all of the doors shut) and the remote FOB would not silence it. We had to disconnect the battery. There were maybe 3 - 4" of standing water in my car interior.
I mean really, even if they clean it up and I get it back, I'm not going to really trust it and probably in 6 months weird **** will start happening with the electrical system or something.
