I still dont completely understand the reasoning to have the steering lock in the vehicle. To be honest, if someone wants your car, they'll get it one way or another. Another thing that bothers me about Nissan (at least the dealerships), they over charge for everything. So I will be picking up my car today with a new steering lock installed but I just received a phone call about 1 hour ago saying there were other things I should replace.
1. Tires thread to low and they want to replace them but I have aftermarket wheels and will be putting 305's on there which they dont have in stock but can order for $600 per
2. Left tie rod end is loose and need to be replaced for $300
3. Brakes (even though I just changed them about 2 months ago; I'll check them when I get my car back) $300 for rear and $200 for front
I honestly feel as though if I were a female, I'd probably be spending over $2500 today because I dont know any better (no offense to the ones that do)...I'll be doing all this work myself when I have some offtime again. Smh, I need to own a car workshop so I can charge people reasonable prices for work that doesnt take much. Brakes, honestly takes literally 30 min to replace if you know what you're doing. Why do shops charge so much to have them replaced. Front and back brakes that I currently have cost $80 total but taking to a shop, it would cost me well over $500 to replace.
