No one is really looking at the situation for what it is.
Going $100K into the hole for tuition is CRAZY in itself, but I understand that it's for personal and professional development. I will withhold my opinions on spending money on tuition, etc and return on investments.
However, I would avoid the following because of the looming tuition monster:
The BRZ may very well be the nicest most amazing thing you own if you can't see the forest through the trees. Suffer now, knock out your schooling, don't have a car payment period. Find a civic with the equity you have in the Z, pay cash, and make that thing work until you're out from underneath your school.
I know friends with school debt that they will never pay off because they can't think far enough ahead and make the sacrifices to enable themselves to shop for houses instead of apartments and Corvettes instead of Scions. Don't do it to yourself - you're young now, do the smart thing and roll with exotics later. The system is set up for you to set yourself up for failure as you're doing now - student loans are set up so you never pay them off and pay interest into the pot for the rest of your life.
That's my advice to you man - if $400-500 a month for a Z is going to hose you, $300/mo for a Scion isn't going to make your situation any better. Get your school done and paid for. My wife is living that situation right now - she makes great money but she takes 40% of it and throws it at student loans every month. When I was at her income level, I had a new Nissan Altima Coupe V6 and a house.
It's going to suck, but there is nothing better than looking back and saying "yup, that sucked, but I did it, and I'm better for it now."
