Welp, it was time to make a big boy decision. I had some radiator drain plug issues again, and the car was down for a week while I got a replacement. I've come out of pocket for more rental cars over the last six months than I'd care to admit. I am finally accepting the fact that my project car should not be my daily driver.

So I went and bought an econobox. A 2015 Mazda 3. Out of all the econoboxes, this had the most features and felt the best to drive under $20k. It didn't hurt that Mazda was running some killer financing incentives over the weekend. This thing is looking like it will cost almost nothing to run. 40 mpg on 87 octane.

And the best part is there's absolutely no performance to speak of. It's slow as balls. And there are no parts that will fix that problem so I won't be tempted to mod it.
