i've always wondered how hot the 350Z's oil got. my 07 HR never went into limp mode and i drove that car like it was meant to be driven.

Now they recommend adjusting the mirrors almost all the way outward on both sides. The adjustment is based on the idea that on either edge of your rear-view mirror you should see half a vehicle, and in the associated side mirror you should see the other half of that vehicle. You should not be able to see a large overlap, or any of the vehicle behind you in either side mirror. You should not be able to see the side of the car at all.
I tried this, and son of a gun, it works. Adjusted this way you can see a vehicle in your side mirror all the way until you can see it in your peripheral vision. I've adjusted my Roadster's mirrors in this manner, and there is no blind spot at all.

my complaint regarding the rear quarter panel window wasn't so much for while driving in traffic, but rather when you have to park at an angle in a parking lot and you really needed to see outta that small window to see if a car was coming, while your mirrors were pretty much useless.
