This setup was diffused years ago with adding a sensor in the front of a radar detector. Plus, the top end radar detectors can pick up
most signals from one to two miles away.
Currently there are only two ways for a cop to catch you without setting off a radar detector and being able to pull you over. Laser, if you are hit you are screwed, and instant on setups. The instant on setups are still very rare as laser is more accurate and instant on does not always ping the fastest car.
