It's very difficult to do. If you have the patience, try buying a very fine artists brush at a hobby store, then apply VERY small amounts of paint over a few hours. When I say VERY small, I mean it. Layer it in small increments. Then a couple of very small clear applications.

Otherwise, do what Kannibul said above, wait for the inevitable and when 10 or so nicks have appeared, bring it to a reputable body shop.
