I've heard this mentioned several times. And I know Nissan is stupid. But I seriously wonder if the pump relies on gas in tank to keep cool. Or at least how much fluid is needed in the tank to keep it cool.

FWIW, I typically use 18+ gallons every tank - rarely do I fill up with less than 17.5 gal. After nearly 70K miles, and a number of brutally hot Texas summers, I've had zero issues with my fuel pump
