Well get ready for this. I wouldn't let that arrogant **** sucker tune my weed whacker! That mother %ucker, we had an 11 o'clock appointment which I was on time for. I walk up to the shop and Mike introduces himself, I explain who I am and why I'm here. He has no idea about the ART install and has no lift available to do my car. He proceeds to tell me that John should have been there at 10 to tune a GTR then me. It turns out John calls just before I got there to tell Mike he's just leaving Conn., no call to me mind you. So 12:45 the **** finally shows up, walks right past me, mind you I'm the only person there he didn't know and proceeds to unpack eat his breakfast. At this point I'm fuming, I go into the shop and call out who's John, he turns and looks at me and says I am. I said to him well I'm Tom your client that you had an appointment with at 11. He says yeah so, I say well your a little ******* late no! He try's to bull **** me by giving some line about me getting there earlier then him so that the pipes could cool and Mike could swap them. Now Mike is standing there looking at me knowing that he's lying. So at that point he turns to finish his bagel and I walk out of the shop to cool down. The little **** finally decides to come over to me to half heart say "sorry". So we start talking and he has NO IDEA about the nitrous system and how to program it. At that point I let him finish looking at my car, told him I would call him. So if I were you I would look else where for a tune, unless of course your ok dealing with a little **** like that.
Know something about me, I'm 55 years old, in remission for cancer, own my own business married with two 18 and 16 and don't have time for scumbags who disrespect me, truth be told he's lucky I didn't.....whatever.
I will be posting this just like it reads here, only a little cleaner for the forums

Lucky you didn't what..? oh please..
Look there's two sides to every story..
Clearly there was a mix up at the shop so you weren't able to get the exhaust parts you needed installed before the tune..so there was no tune, and I am sorry about that.
I know some people say hindsight is 2020 but really the moment you got to the shop and found there was some type of mix up you should have contacted me.. you've called me before so you definably know my number. I had spoke to the shop right before I left and at that point in time everything was OK so I had no reason to call, email or PM you.
You paint a picture that is a little different from reality..
The driveway is shared by 4 different businesses, M&S actually takes up the majority of the parking lot. When you pull in you'll see 10-15 different performance cars, box truck, pick up trucks and at least one car trailer in the driveway - especially on a Saturday. (Shop is normally full of cars too)
If I had pulled in the driveway and your car was the only one sitting out there I would have defiantly walked right up to you.. why would I walk past you? oh because I'm an arrogant bastard?
The shop has 4 employees including the owner Mike, Saturday everyone likes to come by and watch what's going on, especially when we have the dyno running.. I never know who's going to show up or who everyone is.. There were 7 people at the shop when I got there not including you, I didn't have a clue who you were or if you even showed up. ( Not sure if you noticed..you weren't the only z in the parking lot )
Yes, I walked in with food for the shop guys and the moment I put the food down I started discussing the cars we had scheduled including yours.. That's when Mike told me about the mix up and that's when you walked back in side asking for me John.
That's when we discussed everything.. yes Mike was right there and no, there was no lying about anything..What is there to lie about? I wouldn't have scheduled the GTR for Saturday if Mike couldn't work on your car.. its not worth driving 150 miles round trip for 1 or 2 cars especially on a Saturday. The GTR isn't getting picked up until this coming Friday... that's almost a week, I could have done that car another day this coming week. There was a mix up, it's that plain and that simple. We discussed the options and the only thing that worked was for you to come back another day..
So when I was finished eating is when you reappeared in the shop.. I walked outside so you could show me your car and go over your zex install. I asked you a lot of questions because the setup seemed a little complicated. You said you had a traction control box, I've seen one on a turbo Z before but wasn't sure if you had the same one. I was curious because we normally can do traction control via the ecu.. So I wanted to make sure we didn't have these systems fighting each other.. In the end it was just a system that could be programmed to allow the zex to spray while in certain gears.. how it does that with two wires.. RPM signal and a WOT signal I still don't understand.
I plugged into your ecu to verify EcuTek supported it, and it did. Before you walked me back into the shop you gave me a firm hand shake, looked me in the eyes and said you would be good for next week. As you walked me back into the shop you said you were sorry for not being able to stay, your family stuff at the Church and that your wife was up your case...you said " from the ring on your finger I guess your a Married Man so you know all about that family and Church stuff" .. I said yeah, it's no problem and sorry about the mix up today.
You confirmed some details with the shop and left.
I'm happy you could share your experience here, at least people know the type of **** I have to deal with on a day to day basis.

I think in the end you may feel what happened was probably the best for your car. Granted I'm in a different part of the USA than John and I know he does e-tunes for the WRX but I personally would take both of my cars to shops in Texas.

That's actually not true, there was a BRZ that had caught fire due to the customer's port injector install and somehow that got spun into my fault because it had one of my flex fuel kits on it.. I was only doing the tuning on the car didn't touch a wrench on this one..
There also defiantly wasn't any GTR that went into flames.. just sayin!
That's not to say things don't go wrong when we are messing with our cars, you work on enough cars and you see just about everything.. failures... success, strange customers.. you know
