With single hose dispensers you may get a quart of previous grade gas before selected grade comes thru. More like .16 gallon.
Since gas is stored underground, outside air temps have no effect on it, doesn't matter what time of day you get it. Gets most of its heat while sitting in bulk tanks above ground. When its 100 outside and you are filling car, feel nozzle tip when you are done to see how cool gas is going into tank. If you get gas where it is stored above ground, then it can get a lot warmer.
