The LEO did you a solid by police-googling your **** and not making it worse for you. It easily could have been much worse for you than it is. Pay your ****, learn your lesson, and move on with your life. You're 20 years old with a 370Z - with great power comes great responsibility.

However, keep driving like a douchebag and driving up average cost of insurance for a 370Z for the rest of us and the e-lynching will be much worse on the next ticket you get.

However, let's *try* to sympathize with OP. Lets be real now, this car is hard not to speed in. I understand that we try to have fun every now and then outside of the track, whether it would be in the streets or the canyons. Now, I'm not saying I drive like a BMW driver in the streets but I don't blame OP for being a testosterone filled driver like the most of us (including me at the age of 21). Maybe he does lack a little bit of common sense at times, but don't we all?

I'll tell you my story OP:

I floored it on Hollywood Way in Burbank doing a fun 0-60 pull on an empty stretch. We all know the car is incredibly fun to pull from gears 1- halfway through 3. BPD pulled me over for going 50 in a 35 and understandibly so. Sure, he may have looked like an ******* at the time, but he was only doing his job. I definitely did not do 60 in a 35 , so he gave me a lucky break. Yes, there were some errors on his ticket, but it stood firm. Considering that he got the rest of your information right, you have no excuse. Same case with me. I paid the fine and decided to write a written declaration saying that I wasn't guilty and the officer may have paced me wrong... In your case, he got you on radar.

Your best shot is to write a written dec and turn it in at the last possible date, you could extend the deadline by 30-60 more days iirc and you can go for that option as well. IF the officer doesn't reply to the declaration, because most of them (in my case) never want to deal with paperwork, you'll definitely get your case dismissed.

As far as showing up in court option goes, I hear (this isn't fact, this is just what I've heard) officers don't get paid for their time to show up in court. So unless this guy has a justice boner against you, you should be fine. Just make sure to do it at the last moment possible.

Don't speed in the streets man, I know its fun but you're making yourself look like a maniac to other peoples' eyes and not doing yourself a favor overall. Also, making Z drivers look like BMW drivers. My threeseventy cents. Oh, and yes I got my case dismissed and never sped again.
