Because of your problems with your local dealerships I suspect you're going to have a problem with the maps. You can get upgrade disks but they require your nav unit's number, which will doubtless identify its source nationality. I'm guessing that'll put you back to US maps (?), which won't be much help.

My nav system ('13) is hard drive based. If yours is, could you perhaps obtain a locally salvaged AV module and swap them out? Perhaps only the hard drive (?), but that would require a certain amount of improvisation since the shop manual only shows the AV system being treated as a module. (I swap hard drives in computers all the time. Granted, it's a completely different device, but I can't believe they'd bury the hard drive in the middle of a lot of other stuff.) That should give you a local nav system number leading to locally accurate map upgrades. There are a lot of question marks in that, but it is a thought.

My map update came from Nissan X9 Campaign Landing Page (six months old, $50 off until the end of June), but that may only be for the US version. I noticed Nissan has a Middle Eastern version, but I have no idea where to get those updates.
