I would recommend starting with the Bose install sticky located in the Audio forums. There should be a lot of information there that will answer a majority of these questions.

My personal recommendation is to get a good solid front stage, and forget doing rear speakers. There just isn't enough cabin space, and they sit too close to the back of the seats. You will also never get good quality for the money you spend on 3.5 inch drivers.

As far as sub, you have a lot of options, so it comes down to your personal music preferences as to whether a configuration like 2x 8", a single 10, or a single 12 would be better suited for the task.
