Default Berk test pipes

I installed my dual exhaust and test pipes last weekend and it has kind of a tinny sound. How much do the test pipes contribute to the exhaust note/sound?

I listened to several sound bytes and saw several youtube vids of the 370 with the same exhaust (Borla) and none of them had the "tinny" sound that mine produces. Before I bought my Z I looked at one other that had a Berk CBE and either Berk test pipes or hi-flo cats and it didn't sound good at all.

Are the test pipes the culprit?
