There is definitely no requirement to drive fast. We had some people who just wanted to hang back towards the end of the group and drive at their own pace. We did a bunch of drives where we just drove slow and enjoyed the scenery, which was absolutely beautiful down there. Definitely fun regardless of how fast you drive.

Yeah I don't drink at all and I had plenty of fun. Steve did more
failed fishing than driving, so that's also an option
