This is coming from someone who mods computer cases. Most cases are stock black. SOme have gaudy bits of chrome or stripes of different colors. All seems to compliment black nicely.

Red = easy to keep the same secondary since most aftermarket parts always have a red varient

Blue = a less common color against black which offers a more welcoming appearance, but can be slightly harder to work with

off-variant colors = green/purple/etc. These colors can always be done, but most will have to be powder coated or painted to all match accordingly.

So it all comes down to how much time, style, and investment you want to make as a secondary to black. Any "color" works with black. It's what you're most comfortable with and how much you're willing to invest to match everything accordingly.
